CASYS has evolved into a new version with a new interface that incorporates all of the recent innovations into an improved user experience.

The goal for CASYS 2 was (and is) to improve the process, increase productivity and provide a more intuitive interface, enhancements and improvements including:

Improved monitors and dashboards

CASYS 2 now comes with a choice of interactive monitors that can be linked to reports, or to our new job management page. Monitors and dashboards are used to either provide an insight into what is happening in the field, or a snapshot of your system.

Improved route/job management

The new route/job management page is a configurable, colour coded route, or job list that highlights the status of of each job, with the option of a quick inplace edit facility for key fields, or the option to open the details page for full access.

Improved photo management

Job Detail Page

The new layout incorporates detailed information with photos, maps and logs on the 1 page.

Photos remove, or reduce the need for checks, audits, or proof. Every exception can be easily photographed and saved against the job. To achieve this, we improved the background management of photos, the operator simply; points, clicks, saves and we do the rest.

Photos are automatically cataloged with the job, meter, or service number and sent in the background. Photos are attached to the job on the server where they can be used to check readings, meter numbers, damage, or simply prove that the job was done.

GPS Positioning and Reports

Job Detail Page

GPS positioning is now an option for most of our reports, providing an option to display and trace all meters read on a map and sort by sequence, or time. The obvious benefit is improving your reading process as a sequencing tool. In addition, you can map all of your popular reports to see the location of your can't reads, damaged meters, high, low or negative reads.

Combine this with our location tool on the phone (see October 2013 newsletter) and meter can be easily located for audits and maintenance.

New AMR and AMI interface

Image - AMR AMI Interface

CASYS 2 has an optional AMR/AMI module that can be integrated with your manual meter reading process to capture various AMR device data. The AMR/AMI module is hardware agnostic, allowing your source the best available and most suitable AMR hardware for your meter reading application. Our AMR/AMI module is designed to provide you with a flexible manual and/or automated system to manage and analyse

Access to historical reads - Designed for councils and utilities who have limited access to their reading history, this module allows you to access previous quarters with full access to data and reports. It also allow us to provide you with statistical reports spanning several quarters and a flexible high/low option, see below.

Improved high lows give you control of your tolerances - we now provide the option to have your historical reads stored to provide better control over your high/low tolerances. Having access to historical reads at the the coal face allows you to adjust and fine tune your high/low tolerances while the meter reader is in the field. To achieve this, we either use your previous cycle, or previous corresponding cycle to start with the best possible expected reading, you then have the option to adjust high and low tolerances (as a percentage) as you monitor your readers performance in real time.

Improved logging for better audit trails and support services - CASYS 2 provides you with extensive audit trails on the meter reading process. You can audit every action taken on a meter from import to export. You can audit the route, the meter, the meter reader and the supervisor, to see what changes were made, when changes were made and by whom.

In addition, the new logging provides us with a better trouble shooting tool to enhance support and product improvement.

Improved Meter Maintenance module

Every utility and council needs to maintain their meter fleet! Our Maintenance module provides you with the facility to manage this. Maintenance can be integrated with the meter reading system, or operated as a standalone system.

As an integrated system, meters can be flagged as read and moved to the Maintenance system where a supervisor decides what is to be changed and assigns the job/s to a plumber, or exchanger. As a standalone system, the meter location information can simply be imported into the system by various methods and sources.

The maintenance process is very similar to the meter reading with similar interfaces for Web, phone and tablet, similar field process such as data entry, GPS and photo management, reports and imprort/exprort. These similarities provide a single learning curve fro training and support for field staff and admin staff alike.
